December 15 - JARC Christmas Party



Travis Cliet, AB5ZE was presented JARC's Meritorius Service Adward for his years of service as instructor, elmer, and hamfest chairman. Greg King, W5GEK was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by Jim Butch, the Jackson National Weather Service Severe Weather Forcaster for his untiring efforts for the Skywarn program.


After the awards were presented, we ejoyed medleys of Contemporary and Traditional Christmas Music by the Church's Handbell Choir and First Love, a ladies quartet from the church. The evenings activities ended with the door prize drawings.



Travis Cliet, AB5ZE is presented with JARC's "Adward of Merit" by club President Lew King, w5LEW for his many years of service to JARC as an Instructor, Elmer, and Hamfest Chairman.

December 16 - Salvation Army/ARRL Christmas Toy Drive


Several Mississippi hams were in attendance as Santa's ARRL Sleigh rolled into Jackson from Memphis and unloaded toys at the Salvation Army's Warehouse on Boling St. Salvation Army's Alabama-Mississippi-Louisiana Disaster Services Director Bill Feist, WB8BZH said that over 5000 toys were collected by the ARRL and were distributed across the Gulf South. In addition to Delta Division Vice-Director Henry Leggett WD4Q several JARC members assisted in the unloading of Santa's sleigh.
