Emergency Nets
 
Three weekly on-the-air meetings are sponsored by the club.

JARC Emergency Net
This net meets on Tuesday evenings at 9:00 p.m. on the 146.94/34 repeater (this is a private repeater operated by JARC member John Wilson, KA5SBK). This repeater also requires a 100 Hz subaudible tone. The net back-up frequency is 146.28/88 MHz. Preamble, Net Control Schedule

Metro Jackson ARES Net
This net meets on Sunday evenings at 8:00 p.m. on the 444.000/449.000 repeater. Preamble, Net Control Schedule

Capital Area Emergency Net
This net meets on Sunday evenings at 8:30 p.m. on the 146.76/16 repeater. Preamble, Net Control Schedule

The American Red Cross Family Disaster Plan and Disaster Supplies Kit assume that in the event of a disaster it will be three day before Disaster Shelters will be open. If your plans do not include going to to a shelter then you should prepare a larger and more comprehensive kit.
